All patients with BMI >35
Patients with BMI >30 and metabolic disease
Asian patients with BMI >27.5 and metabolic disease

Laboratory Monitoring After Bariatric Surgery
We suggest that patients who have had bariatric surgery should have the following testing performed 6-monthly for 18 months and annually thereafter:
Full Blood Count
Urea, Electrolytes, Creatine
Liver Function Test
Micronutrients as per the adjacent table
If a deficiency is found, increased supplementation should be prescribed and the repeat testing interval should be shortened.
