General Surgery Fees

Procedures in Hospital - Insured Known Gap Patients

We are a “known gap” provider registered with the most common Private Health Funds. Click here to see the list of funds that we have an agreement with.

If you belong to one of these affiliated Private Health Funds, we charge a $500 gap payment for most procedures under general anaesthetic and your Private Health Fund will pay the rest directly to us to cover the surgeon’s fee and the assistant’s fee.

If your Private Health Fund is not on the list, we can still treat you, however you will have to pay the surgeon and assistant fees at the self funding rates in the next section prior to surgery and then claim reimbursement from your Private Health Fund.

In addition to the surgical gap fee mentioned above, you will have to pay a Private Hospital Excess, and the anaesthetist may also choose to charge a gap fee.
